The LG 60PZ950 is one of the Infinia plasma models that contains the seamless glass appearance which lends the look of an elegant piece of technology to match any interior design.  The front glass panel extends all the way to the ends of the bezel framing to give the “Infinia” its name and good looks.  A welcome benefit is LG’s TruBlack anti-glare treatment.  This treatment means that you can have a sharper screen with fewer reflections when viewing in a room full of lights or incoming sunlight.

Cabinet

Does it have the looks? Oh, yes it does. The LG 60PZ950 model sports a borderless glass look, characteristic of LG’s Infinia design.  The technology behind the sleek look is LG’s Protective Skin Glass.  The short explanation for this is that the system minimizes the gap between the exterior glass and the internal filter by 70%.  Somehow LG paired real glass with a product referred to as “hair-line aluminum” that creates a screen which provides a sleek borderless appearance.  The front panel extends to the black bezel measuring 1.18 inches. The sleek look is justified by its 2-inch cabinet depth.

This set does include a stand or you can mount the TV to the wall.  One note, if you plan on mounting the set to the wall, you will need to order a wall mounting bracket.  The TV stand is included in the bundle, but not the wall mounting bracket.

Set-Up

You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to set up your LG 60PZ950. One of the most welcome features the LG designers make available is the wireless 1080p connectivity.  No longer do you have to be limited by the length and location of your cable.  Wireless lets you cut loose from all those darn cables and still get a stunning full HD picture.

You can also share information from your PC or Laptop using the wireless Smart Share feature.  Another innovation for the LG 60PZ950 is the motion controlled Mobile Remote. This new remote feature offers a motion controlled cursor which follows hand movement. This remote works more like you computer mouse, a point and click system.  Instead of punching buttons on the remote, you just point the remote so that the cursor is on the selection you want and click the remote to select that option. LG, what a great idea!

You can connect any DLNA appliance, including your Blu-ray player with an HDMI cable or via the on-board wireless connection.
