All of the G10 plasma HDTVs including the Panasonic TC-P46G10 are THX Certified for Faithful Movie Image Reproduction. Although there are a lot of TVs that displays movies rather well, none of them manage to achieve cinema-quality. • “Amazing TV for the money. After setting the TV up I’m almost thinking I should have purchased the 50″ model but the 46″ was a fantastic price. The colors on this TV are amazing, the picture is just fantastic. THX mode is great and requires very little calibration on my part. Most people will probably put it on THX and leave it forever and that would be a great option too. Plenty of connections on this TV and I was most impressed with the speakers. I haven’t setup my full 5.1 setup yet so I’m just using the TV speakers and they are pretty good for a casual TV watcher. For action movies you’ll want your own tuner and 5.1 setup though. I went with Plasma because the picture was much closer to the CRT I replaced this with. For me, the LCD displays are way too bright. I love this TV, I’ll recommend it and ordering from Amazon to everyone. • “I previously owned a LG 47″ LCD television. I have had this 46g10 for about two weeks and it is superior to the LG in every way. I have friends that own LCD’s and they are envious of the colors and picture of this television. Bottom line is, the black levels are great, the color is great, the picture is great, the motion clarity is great. Don’t worry about the supposed “overly green” or “red push” you may read about. The TV looks great. Only equipment is going to pick up those discrepancies. Skin tone seems spot on as does the greens and blues. Standard pictures are also very good. No complaints except week sound, but that is the case for all flat screen TV’s. Not much use out of the Viera cast yet, but love the card reader for looking at pictures. I don’t know where my brightness setting should be to have the deepest blacks but still reserve the brightest image. I know none of this crap.
