The Auto Motion Plus 120 Hz technology was a favorite among Samsung TV lovers and fortunately this reliable dejudder processing is present in the Samsung UN40B7000.  This means that not only you enjoy better visuals in terms of color and deep blacks, but you also enjoy more fluid animations making your favorite action packed films and shows more exciting. No form of visual blurs ever affects the experience.

The “eco-friendly” aspect of the UN40B7000 is a technology in its own right because it cuts the power usage even lower by 40% and this is when compared to previous Samsung LCD models. On standby mode, it consumes less than one tenth of a watt. This alone should lead to huge savings from electric bills making it worth the somewhat hefty price tag. It is not just eco-friendly in electricity consumption, but also eco-friendly by making it free of harmful lead and mercury.

Extra Features

The features mentioned above are all present in the 6 series, but the UN40B7000 falls in the 7 series and the 7 series offers improved Internet connectivity. The Samsung UN40B7000 offers plenty of extras including Yahoo widgets so you can check out the weather, stocks, and other useful content. Just like on the computer, these widgets can be customized for preference and any other widgets on the Yahoo site can be used.

It also has some powerful networking features making it very simple to connect to other computers and laptops wirelessly. It has the interface built-in so you can navigate videos, music, and photos stored in your computer just by using the TV. You can still use the old method which involves transferring the multimedia via USB where you are presented with a nice Multimedia Center which is great for showing off media to others on the big screen.

Another 7 series feature is the built-in entertainment features including games, cooking shows and other downloadable content. A secondary remote control is also included and comes in a very small stylish design for handling basic controls. Like the other series, it has 4 HDMI ports opening lots of connectivity options.

The new Samsung UN40B7000 is a fusion of the powerful features that other LCD models had with excellent power-saving functions. The many extras that are included in the 7 series make it worth the purchase.

“I have been researching televisions for quite some time now and was originally going to go with a Samsung 4 months ago but when I found the 2009 line would be coming out I figured I’d wait and boy am I glad I did. When I first saw some reviews on Cnet I was a bit concerned, even though they listed the 40B7000 as their top choice they stated some cons regarding the viewing angle and some issues they noticed with the LED’s being visible sometimes. This made me decide that I would view the screens in person as opposed to just purchasing on Amazon as I intended to do and really didn’t think I needed to see in person. Never the less I’m glad I did because any fear I had was immediately irrelevant once I saw the set in person. Needless to say I saw none of the issues mentioned on Cnet and the set blew me away that I couldn’t wait any longer and purchased right then! I have had the set for about 2 weeks and I kick myself every time I turn it on, everything looks just AMAZING! It is the most beautiful TV I have ever seen. My mother and 2 of my friends who were in the market for TV’s came over and all of them are purchasing the same set. I plan on getting the 55” when I move into my new house!
