The Samsung UN55C6500 sports a new design with a redefined stand using four legs for added stability. This is a topped with a new “Touch of Color” design which adds a nice Stone Black texture accent. It is also a little bit thinner than the 2009 models measuring just 1.1 inches deep.

Samsung boosts the LED TV technology even further by offering a 5,000,000:1 Mega Dynamic Contrast Ratio which contributes to amazing pure white and deep black levels. Energy Saving features have been greatly improved building on the existing environmental benefits that standard LED TVs bring. No mercury, toxic elements, or cold cathode fluorescent lamps are present since LED lamps are used instead to make them extremely clean, power efficient, and Energy Star compliant.

“I own this TV. Just one word – its amazing. The picture quality is divine it almost looks 3d. Everything is so life like. I compared this TV in the store with others and found it significantly better than the Sony’s, LG’s and Panasonic’s. Did I mention it is thin, that’s the second wow factor. The remote is easy to use, I however use it with my Logitech Harmony remote.
All games on the Xbox 360 come alive, the screen size and clarity really immerse you into the game. Cannot comment about the speakers since I don’t use them, I have an external 5.1 speakers. It has 4 HDMI ports, more than enough to connect all your inputs. It also has a VGA and component inputs. You can also connect it to the internet, this means Youtube, Netflix and other apps.
I did a comparison in the store between 120hz and 240hz and didn’t notice any difference.

• “I have never seen a picture like it. It looks 3 dimensional- you can really place people and scenery in space. It’s almost eerie. Another reviewer has complained of flash lighting- but I can’t see any evidence of it. Plus the thing is energy efficient- 190w max- less when back lighting is down (which everyone will turn down I’d expect- it’s very bright). • “I ordered this LED HDTV on a Thursday morning and received it the following Monday morning. This is the excellent Amazon shipping policy in place the the delivery persons unpacked, hooked it up to my existing wall mount, and installed it. Simple as that! They tested that it worked, and I signed for it and went back to my office! So easy, so simple! If all retailers offered this type of service with free shipping and no sales tax, the shopping world would be better!

Now on to the television. When I ordered this HDTV they offered a free Samsung Blu Ray Player as well as a USB 802.11 Wireless Access Point for the television for free! Those 2 accessories I received last Friday! I went through the simple installation menu on the television and hooked it up to my AT&T uVerse DVR and voila – one of the most beautiful pictures i have ever seen. Once the HDTV was on the Internet, it did a software update, then very easily I installed the Internet items like Facebook, NetFlix, USA Today, etc. It was so simple – a child could do it! The picture from a Blu-Ray disk is stunning as well as my HD channels from my AT&T uVerse! The contrast is fantastic and it feels like I’m at the movies, but even a better picture! This is a full featured television and I can see no room for improvement, and as an Information Technology manager, I am picky!

This HDTV is only about 1 inch thick and is a beautiful television that will complement any home! The 120 hz looks awesome on fast paced movies like Star Trek and perfect for gaming!
