Key Features
Its enormous 2,073,600-pixel (1920 x 1080) picture resolution, which accounts for its lucent video display, is effectively and efficiently handled by the backend Sharp’s technology called Advanced Super View TFT LCD. The 3:2 pulldown feature of this set reduces artifacts that can occur when film based movies are transferred to formats such as DVD and blu-ray. The display is great not only for movie viewing but also for playing fast-paced video games. In addition, the LC-52SE94U includes a groundbreaking AQUOS Net™ Feature for custom web content through an Ethernet jack. Through AQUOS Net, you will have access to customer support, including the ability to have dedicated Sharp advisors connect remotely to your TV to assist in adjusting the TV’s settings and optimizing picture quality for the best viewing experience. That really makes life a lot easier for you.
The LC52SE94U also comes with 120Hz frame rate conversion for image processing that makes fast action sequences look silky smooth.
The menu setup makes it easy for you to program your favorite TV channels. In fact, you can program up to 4 most preferred channels using 4 diverse categories.
Parents can preselect child-friendly programs using an electronic filtering device and lock the selections with a 4-digit password.
Actual user review:
“The Sharp Aquos LC52SE94U has an extremely good picture quality (of course), and very bright. Even on standard cable it looks very good. When watch analog channels you can see a small amount of pixelazation cause by the low resolution on a very large screen, but you really have to look for it. When you watch HD channels the picture is far better than you can imagine. Very good sound quality using the factory speakers, not audiophile quality, but as good as any TVs speakers I’ve ever heard. “ – J.Johnson (OH,USA)
Audio Features
The standard Audio multiplex feature found in the Aquos LCD TV product line is a technology that uses the BTSC system, or Multi-channel Television Sound (MTS).
Connectivity
There is ample connection options on the LC52SE94U to make it a truly versatile entertainment appliance. It comes with 3 HDMI inputs, 2 component inputs and 3 composite video inputs. - “The picture on this TV is absolutely beautiful. I bought an Aquos Blu-Ray player at the same time and the two together are absolutely amazing. This TV does an amazing job with HD signals but it is also impressive in displaying analog signals without looking pixellated.” – R.Gatt (PA,USA)
- “I dont think I’ll ever buy any other brand when it comes to televisions other than sharp tv’s. Not just because they have one of the best picture quality in the business but more importantly it is for their excellent customer service and programs sharp has implemented for their unhappy customers just like I was about a month or so ago.” – S.Joseph (CA,USA)
- “This is an outstanding TV. Bright clear picture, clean motion, lots of inputs. I considered the comparable Samsungs but did not like the shiny screen or frame. The picture quality was indistinguishable to my eyes in the store. I ultimately settled on Sharp due to the reports of extraordinary customer service for Sharp vs. much less satisfaction with Samsung customer service. I have not been disappointed with the Sharp so far.” – B.Bumberg (CA,USA)
