The perfect clarity of each scene including the rock pebbles scattered across the desert sand was flawless.

The audio lacked punch in the lower frequencies but the pseudo surround effect was quite realistic. You can hear the bugs and crickets chirping in the background while the campfire sparks and crackling was clearly heard. Of course, being a Western there are scenes with gunfire. The rifle and pistol shots were delivered with clarity even when the gun fire was from a distance. We have to say, this remake of John Wayne’s classic was entertaining and the quality of the audio and picture was most impressive. To fully appreciate the full frequency spectrum you might want to invest in something like the ZVOX single cabinet surround system.
